The Vault is a private online audio mastering service from Lunar Mansion Studios. It applies the mastering judgment behind Matt O’Neil’s sessions to a customer’s own final mix, selected musical style, and chosen release level. The service accepts WAV, AIFF, MP3, and FLAC uploads and returns one finished master rather than a confusing set of alternate versions.

The mastering experience is designed around a clear release workflow. Upload a final mix, choose the musical style that best fits the record, select either a forward −9 LUFS release level or a more open −13 LUFS release level, and continue through secure checkout. Both choices are verified against a −1.0 dBTP ceiling before delivery. The finished master is built to translate cleanly and arrive ready to release.

How The Vault mastering process works

1. Prepare the mix. Add a track title and upload a non-empty WAV, AIFF, MP3, or FLAC source file smaller than 500 MB.
2. Choose the musical direction. Select Rock / Indie, Pop, Acoustic, Hip-Hop / Grime, Electronic, Reggae / Dub, Metal, or Other / not listed. This selection guides the genre-aware mastering approach.
3. Choose the release level. Select −9 LUFS for a forward, release-ready level or −13 LUFS for a more open, dynamic level. Each option uses the same verified −1.0 dBTP delivery ceiling.
4. Preview or unlock. A signed-in account can hear one free 30-second preview every 24 hours. A finished master is available through a one-time purchase or an active Creator or Pro membership.
5. Receive the master. Masters are delivered within minutes. The finished file remains in the customer’s private library for A/B auditioning against the original mix and secure download.

Membership begins only after secure payment. Customers can sign in and use the billing portal to manage cancellation, and access remains active through the current paid billing period.

The Vault accepts WAV, AIFF, MP3, and FLAC source files. Every completed master includes one full-length finished master, verified and delivered as a 48 kHz / 24-bit WAV. The private library keeps completed and in-progress masters associated with the signed-in customer account. Finished masters can be previewed, auditioned against the original source through the available A/B tools, and downloaded securely.

The service does not require a quote request or manual handoff before mastering begins. After payment and secure intake, The Vault starts processing the uploaded mix. Account entry supports passwordless email and configured federated sign-in options. Payment details remain on the hosted Stripe checkout page rather than inside the mastering application.
